For context, the development will be across the street from the SMU law school and Peggy Sue's, catercorner from Kuby's, at the far south end of Snider Plaza. Construction is underway and is expected to be completed late next year, 2019.

Gerald Ford and Hilltop Plaza
Hilltop Holdings, which owns PlainsCapital Bank, and the Ford family have each acquired a 25% stake in the new development at the southwest corner of Hillcrest and Daniel. The six-story, mixed used facility replaces the old Chase Bank building, which sat empty for a long time in a dispute with the City of University Park. PlainsCapital will make it their new corporate headquarters.

Hillcrest State Bank 1938. Changed names but never changed hands until the bank abandoned the property.PonyTime wrote:^^^Looks a lot nicer than what was there for the last 20+ years.
