Other than the Kansas opening have those sections ever been filled? Maybe Oklahoma State

When he becomes a pro-bowler with the Broncos suggest we shall rename this area "Courtland's Corner"

That's good to know. I figured those graphics couldn't possibly be the final product.
VERY good to know, a relief. Looks like something you'd see at the local peach stand

Great idea! Hopefully will look good on TV too. Needs some kind of landmark like the conoco gas pump at MMP.

I think we already have a scoreboard for that

Nothing at TCU has this in its stadium bowl.

I guess it looks better than a tarp over about 10000 seats, but not much of anybody on or off the decks will see the game from the NE corner
May the forth be with us.

While in need of some updates, Ford is a really classy looking stadium. This could have been executed a lot better. Still not in support of reducing the capacity at Ford. Good coaching, good marketing, good win-loss record, good opponents, good facilities = attendance increase. Despite comments, good luck Ponies for a great season! ford stadium 2.jpg
It doesnt matter how "classy" it looks if no one is sitting in it. The reality is that in today's world, you need to offer more entertainment to keep students inside the stadium by bringing the bar and TV's to the stadium. It is pretty obvious that SMU's home opponents (minus TCU), bleachers, minimal cell service, 100 degree Texas heat and no way to really get updates on other schools around the country most of our students grew up following is a losing formula for attendance. This is a great attempt to try and really attract students and improve the game day product.

At least 2/3rds of the lower section on the right (if not more) is the student section and it is FULL. Winning has something to do with that, but school spirit is a big factor too. Not sure how you instill that in SMU students.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

It's TCU student seating on the lower level from end zone to endzone
