I would lean towards trusting LB. it is like holding a kid back in kindergarten. Ultimately he would enter the work for a year sooner if not held back but odds are his earning potential is greater by having done so.

Markus might be thinking he could have had more options coming off a strong Jr season and maybe getting a better initial pro contract somewhere. I'm not sure where he is coming from but everyone knew he struggled with the academic side so why not start earning money as soon as you can wherever you can. LB might have thought he had NBA potential but he regressed in his final season here and that probably hurt him.
