[quote="tristatecoog"]Stadium opener vs. Houston on 9/10/11 is still the most attended game in history. Around 25-27K?

For the UH vs UNT game at Apogee the attendance was 28,075 per ESPN. It was a fun game until the Coogs
pulled away, UH Coach Sumlin had to call 2 crowd noise timeouts. Crowd noise at old Fouts Field went out the north end zone ending somewhere in Gainesville. {:>)

Reason they are projecting an extraordinarily good crowd for SMU is an expected high scoring shootout;
ΓÇó also based on sections of seats shown to have tickets available now that “day of game” walk up sales usually fill up (like on the Press Box side from goal line to goal line).
ΓÇóalso based on UNT students (38,000) with a record-breaking Fall 2018 Freshmen Class getting their tickets early (which I understand has been happening & will until Kickof

It could still be a record-breaking crowd. Guaranteed to be a late arriving crowd because it always is when there are over 20,000 & latecomers will still be on both interstates during the 1’st quarter.

Coming? Be early.

Wear white. Team will be in white. And it will be hot as ...

Greenies will be in green. And white.

You wear RED. Once kickoff happens you literally have maybe an hour of actual sun and only on the East side.

MrGG, the UNT students were very impressive in that opening game. I seem to remember them being all over the south (non-press box) side. Maybe not between the 30s but packed otherwise. UNT also did a good job of splitting up visiting seats. We had seats in one corner, more in the endzone and our local alumni group had 110 on the home side around the goal line. It was 17-17 with two minutes to go in the first half.

I'm expecting a very enthusiastic crowd Saturday night. Both teams will have some tricks and the MG wants to win a bit more. Littrell is a very good coach.

Wow!
Just announced in the DR-C that 19,000 tickets have already been sold for the SMU game & that ΓÇ£does notΓÇ¥ include the UNT students.
If even close to that number then a sellout is now within reach. We’ve had as many as 14,000 game day walk up ticket sales in the past. Fans being turned away for this game is now even a possibility. (That would be an all time first at UNT).

Ordered my tickets today through the official athletic website who then emailed me a link whereas I could print my tickets in my office & now have them in hand.
tristatecoog, we sure didn’t have that luxury back in the day, now did we?
Eat em’ up, Coogs!

Pom is sending all eight veterans to the game. Usually they only send four to local away games. I assume cheer will also have a good number on the sidelines. I'm super excited because my girl is making her debut as captain, so show them some love by getting LOUD. It's quality not quantity!

Greenie students and hipsters abound.

Do we get 27K in Ford Stadium next Friday?

Astute but unfair comparison. We don't have our IPF yet.

on a different note - Mods please put 2018 FB Schedule on your Homepage

While you're mocking the guys who bring you this stuff for free, it's a game log not a schedule. No 2018 games yet, so it makes sense to keep last year's up
