I'm going to be super interested in how this team responds to the debacle in Denton. Any time you get a swift kick to the nether regions -- and make no mistake, that's exactly what happened -- you've got a few choices as to how you respond.
Don't know what motivates other types, but for me I'd have that game on an endless loop in my head. Never again. Never again.
Looking forward to Friday night.
What do you do with it?

I think it may help that they finally put some points up. Sure, it wasn't exactly against the first string, but it took some mental fortitude to not give up completely. If I were the coach, I'd run with that.

Re: What do you do with it?
The first half performance was worse than any of the offensive performances we put in under Mason. And that says a lot.
I think Dykes is really pissed at the play calling and performance of the offense. It showed in his demeanor in the post game interview, and on his Monday show he had his arms crossed the entire time. I think they have 2 more games to get their act together before Sonny takes over the offense.
They talked the past year about physicality and running the ball. And that's how the practice. But yet game one they run it 11 times? That's come crazy stuff right there.
I think they come out against TCU and just try and run the ball a ton. At least you run clock and only lose 2 yards if you fail, instead of incompletions and interceptions that add to the length of the game. Focus on one thing and fix the OL before anything else.

I honestly expected this thread to be about Ford Stadium in a few years.

Last week's fiasco definitely becomes a character test for this team. I would expect them to play their guts out against TCU. The frogs clearly have better athletes and should win easily, but I will be watching to see how competitive our guys are this week and hoping the UNT game doesn't destroy this entire season.
