Because we are such a stellar road team. Take Michigan and give the 35 points
I just want to see our Offense have a coherent performance this weekend. Better play calling, better blocking, better route running and finding open receivers. If we do that and score 24 I'll be happy....so as not to be pessimistic this early in the week I'll say:
Michigan - 42 SMU - 27
and we hang with them enough through the 3rd for it to be a respectable game....kind of like TCU this last week, but actually some decent offensive drives that lead to points.
I actually think the Michigan defense is as good or better than TCU's.
If we can score on multiple offensive possessions and can move the ball consistently enough to hold Michigan under 40 points, that would be the improvement I'm looking for.
My concern is early turnovers forced by their pressure defense lead to a complete rout. 50-3 or something like that.
Defense continues upward trend and offense moves ball just enough to make the game a "respectable" loss. Brown gets a lot of snaps at QB which helps our offense immensely. We cover the spread and then some.

Mich 32 SMU 17
I don't see wasting one of Brown's 3 remaining redshirt games on a game where he won't be able to groove or learn.
