HBU will be a good game for Brown to really tune up.

Unexpectedly emotional game. Wow. I was about to get real pissed off if the refs took that away.
Take the W and build on it. Has to be a confidence booster to win that kind of game.

Because we are talking about SMU actually beating Navy. They probably had a hard time believing it could actually happen.

I was hopeful we might beat someone we weren't supposed to at home this year. Now I'm optimistic we just might win another home game or 2 in AAC play this season. Just need to avoid a let down against HBU

That was a terrific, gut wrenching but exciting game. My stomach definitely soured when I saw Hicks go out there but that wasn’t him. No way. That was Hicks pre December 17. I’m still a bit concern with the playcalling but that was an exiting win. #PonyUp. Great job Hicks and team!

Such a great point. Ballsy effort when it seemed momentum had slipped away, that we were just about to give another one away. Just a great win

Shades of the UAB win under Jones. We needed this one. Let’s get 5 more this year!

Just like the rule that you cannot be in the bottom 10 the week after a win (thank goodness), there is no need for a silver linings thread after a win.

I wasn't able to get the whole game. I was wondering if Brown was injured and Hicks came in. I must admit, after being demoted and sitting the entire game, Ben Hicks was superhuman coming off the bench. That takes some real pose. Off the bench with an emotional game on the line and perform magnificently. Great win. To be sure I am shocked. Didn't expect it. And to think, Navy beat Memphis.

To think, I thought it would be great to be 1-3 with our schedule but hoped for the NTSU to be the win, not Navy. Actually, I think the Navy win is better.

I have to give it to our defense. That is the best they have ever played against Navy since 1998

Rule Question:

SMU called a fair catch on opening kickoff but ball was placed on the 16 instead of the 25-what am I missing?

Guy that called for fair catch wasn't the one that caught it. Maybe a rule thing?

And he ran with the ball which may have been a penalty. I was curious about that too but missed any explanation.

No penalty. One guy called for a fair catch and the other one caught it on the 16 so that is where it was placed.
