If I had to guess... I'm going to say 48-31 Cougar High. There offense will wear out our defense. Their defense will know that we will try to run 1st and 2nd down and have to make a long pass on 3rd. I was pleasantly surprise with how strong the defense stood against Cincy but I just can't see them doing that to Houston all-day. If the defense somehow can get 1 or 2 pick sixes then my prediction will be 35-28 SMU.

I like Houston but some of you seem to undervalue your own team. On Saturday we lost in overtime to a team who was very recently ranked. Our other losses were to a 7-win North Texas team, at #16 TCU, at #19 Michigan, and at #12 UCF.

Oh we are talking about administrators/faculty... then of course. I thought we were talking about student base. 7/11 operators are houston grads and "liberals" are SMU grads. Of course (off topic), I have to imagine if you want to be successful at SMU or any college, you have to at least look like a liberal otherwise you will need to get a new career.

UH opponents have scored from 14 to 63 points. You decide where on that spectrum SMU falls.

Big question is whether Ed Oliver plays. Looked healthy jumping on the sidelines last week, but I wouldn't risk his health unless he's near 100%. Defense looked surprisingly solid vs USF without him
