PicksHicksStriking again. I'd say that I'm shocked or surprised but I'd be lying.

Re: PicksHicksI mean...upshaw cant be THAT bad, can he? If there was a supporting running game to speak of, I’d have to think they would tinker with the idea
Re: PicksHicksDo you think he averages more than 0.7 pick-6s a game?
Re: PicksHicksI think you guys are right! Lets do away with our best passer and fully engage in our fabulous running attack. Forget the passing game and the best passer, the qb who set virtually all of the passing records in two years at SMU and go to the running game. That will certainly knock us out of any chance to win enough games to go to a bowl game; especially sense Hicks has been the biggest offensive weapon we have had all year and perhaps the biggest offensive reason we have any wins at all. And, SMU can than take our offensive production down to about 100 yards or less per game - running. That should help us make more national news! That might even drive off some of our fine recruits that have decided to play at SMU. Then, we can all complain again next year about our fine offensive game!
Guys, one of the problems Hicks has to be facing is all of the pressure that has been placed on his shoulders. Everyone in the stadium knows he has to make the big plays (with little or no blocking) and that includes the players on the field. He is our offense.
Re: PicksHicksI picks Hicks to be our QB. See above post. If he hasn't already, he will soon pass Chuck Hixson for
most passing yards in SMU history. May the forth be with us.
Re: PicksHicksKind of easy when you had Sutton, Quinn and Proche to throw to. Now its more of a challenge. Picks are one thing, but pick sixes means he just isn't reading risks well.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: PicksHicks
That might have been the case on some picks but it seems to me that against Cincinnati he threw the ball down field about 15 or 20 yards and near the center of the field. I would think someone should have made a tackle (if it happened like I remember it).
Re: PicksHicksAlso kinda easy when you have roberson and proche
Re: PicksHicks
It was actually only 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage and nobody had any chance to catch the DB on his way to the endzone. Proche himself was the only guy, and he pretty much game up after 10 yards. https://www.ohvarsity.com/blogs/2018/10 ... ats-vs-smu
Re: PicksHicksThrow it in front of Proche instead of behind him and we're still in overtime with a first down

Re: PicksHicksWow, long game.
Re: PicksHicksWe are also 127th in the nation in 3rd-Down Conversions, 111th in first downs, 93rd in the nation in completion percentage, 74th in scoring offense and 124th in time of possession.
