SI rankings

They have us below Lipscomb, FYI... will be interesting to see how we do in those early games without Foster.
Low regard for the AAC in general - they have Houston way too low as well. I think the ESPN rankings that came out the other day are more accurate.

Re: SI rankings
So - assuming we lose to those ranked ahead of us and beat those ranked below - we will go 7-5 out of conference losing to the likes of Bradley, Lipscomb, Old Dominion, TCU, and Georgetown and will finish the year at something like 13-17.
Not sure I buy that SI.
BTW - they have us ranked pretty much same as North Texas.

Re: SI rankings
I would certainly hope that is not the case, given that we play almost all of those teams at home. Moody should carry us through many of those. That said, I think that the OOC will be more difficult than people perhaps think.

I do think that 4 OOC losses is quite possible. But, then again - so is 2.Mustangsabu wrote:I would certainly hope that is not the case, given that we play almost all of those teams at home. Worst Case: 4 Losses ...Losses to TCU, GTown, Penn State (if we beat Bradley) and one other surprise loss.
Best Case: 2 Losses...which would mean we would have had at least one top quality win over either TCU, GTown, or Penn State and taken care of biz vs the rest (perhaps I am selling us short here on a best case scenario, but we aren't going undefeated OOC)

Re: SI rankings
The SI non-conf scenario is VERY possible. You're burying your head if you don't think it could happen.

Re: SI rankings
It shouldn’t be. In the past few years SMU would have beaten all those teams except for maybe a couple.Mustangsabu wrote:That said, I think that the OOC will be more difficult than people perhaps think.

Re: SI rankings
Going to be an interesting season. Hope we are all pleasantly surprised but no question this season could become a repeat of last season and possibly the end of Jank's HC career. Sure hope not. I'm just anxious to get this thing started and see what we have this year.

Re: SI rankings
I noticed that SI’s NBA draft expert has Jarrey going at 28 in his mock draft
