"Coug High" is derogatory. Most high schools have at least some academic standards. As a high school graduate I find the term "Coug High" insulting. Please .

Coogs are higher ranked than TX Tech in US News, so there's that.
++++++++++++++++++++++++ Expect the game to be close due to prior Ford games and improved SMU D.
Remembering 2016 and 2012. In '12, SMU had three pick sixes courtesy of three different UH QBs (Piland, Kohlhausen and Jones). UH got a pick six from GG as well.
Hopefully the team is ticked about not being in the CFP poll and Kendall has some extra wrinkles.
The only way we win is if the defense just shuts out Houston. Sad part is the defense got cincy to turn the ball over what like 4 times + 2 4th down stops and we still lost. The offense is going to have to play out of their minds if we want to win. It really depends on whether our OC figures out we do not have the components in place to be a heavy run team. We need to be 70-80% pass and 20-30% run. Once they're able to recruit what the need then he can do whatever he likes but his play calling has cost us a game or 2.
Really interesting to listen to Sonny explain that you have a conservative offense when you are just making sure you hang around, and then in other games you have to play aggressive to stay in it. It will be intriguing to see what aggressive looks like with this group of players...
Overwhelming majority feel SMU has no chance in this one and that the game will not even be competitive. Hope these Mustangs shock all of us. Major upsets happen all the time and we've witnessed some in our favor in the post death penalty era. Can only hope for another.
