What a difference a year can make...add a competent DC and a handful of new players and wow have these guys been competitive this year after that opening game disaster

That was outstanding tonight. We played a 3-2-6. 4 down linemen and 4 safeties played the entire game - Nelson, McQueen, Onu, Clemons. End to end. Nelson lined up next to the 2 LBs but he is a safety. We got our best athletes in the game and dared King to throw medium routes. What a scheme. That was just outstanding. McQueen really laid the wood a couple of times, he is going to be a fantastic player for us. Rotations on DL and at CB, but the safeties and LBs played the entire game. Just can't say enough how good that group of 6 players was.

And on top of that, no Wyatt and no Scott. Wow. I hope we can keep Kane for a few more years. Hard hitting, everyone to the ball, speed. Just awesome and fun to watch.

Need to give Kane a serious raise. We need to lock him down. OC - jury still out on that guy.

It has been a long time since we have had a defense that can win games for us. We won against Tulane because of D. We had a chance against Cincy because of D. We beat Houston because of D. Best tackling I hve seen from a SMU D unit in decades. Solid hitters.

That last hit by Wiley (I hope he is OK) was a thing of beauty.

That hit by Wiley was scary. He might have hit the deck before the ball carrier and immediately grabbed his shoulder. But the radio guys pointed out that the trainers lifted him up by both arms, so maybe it's not major damage.

Hats off to Kevin Kane and his staff. The reboot on this defense has been amazing.

and just today taylor reed retired from CFL,we should give him a chance
