Offensive lineWe discuss when they fall short, so we owe the OL coaches and players some applause here. A left tackle playing his first college game, a redshirt freshman left guard, sophomore center and true freshman right tackle kept Hicks upright and opened lanes for almost 200 rush yards. Great job by the big guys.
Re: Offensive lineAbsolutely, good pass blocking and the opening holes for the backs. Sorry to hear of the loss of Natour for the season. Good game guys, keep it up.
Re: Offensive lineReally encouraging to see the young guys play as well as a group as our OL has all season. I'm encouraged about the potential for building a quality 2 deep OL in the very near future. How long has it been since we've been able to say that?
Re: Offensive lineBeau Morris played well. When Levon Levingston gets back, we could have at least three legit tackles with those two and Thomas, and a decent backup in Wilds.
Plagiarize!
Let no one else's work evade your eyes. Remember why the good lord made your eyes. So don't shade your eyes, just Plagiarize, plagiarize, plagiarize! (Only be sure always to call it, please .... "research.")
Re: Offensive lineWe are really missing Livingston this year. But op is right, this was our best showing.
Re: Offensive lineBeau Morris helped a lot and the rest of the O-line stepped up. That and having another back to run. Both together open up the playbook.
Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Offensive lineI've heard from player's parents in this group that the lack of a coach has been a huge problem and the staff didn't address bringing in another resource to help with coaching until recently.

Re: Offensive line
That's entirely incorrect. Except for the part about missing a coach hand-picked by the Head Coach to coach an important position group months ago hurting. That's kind of obvious.
Re: Offensive line
Couple of points: 1) No sitting OL coach would have come for a one year stint 2) NCAA limits on the number of coaches you can have and no way we are firing a coach in the hospital 3) They brought in a specialist to deal specifically with a few of the players (no idea how they got around #2)
Re: Offensive linethey brought in Yenser from Kansas, but he is a consultant so can't be on the field to coach them during the games.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/colleg ... izes-staff from august 13. what do you mean didn't bring anyone in 'til recently? Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Offensive lineWe've had two true freshmen get significant time /make starts at each tackle. No doubt we'd prefer to have our first choice coaching them, but 18 year old kids making starts doesn't happen from being self-taught imo.
