Memphis looks like they can only play in front of a home crowd. It looks like they only could beat ECU on the road. I think this will be a tough game still but I think we will come out on top. 42-38 ponies.

Both teams will be playing for everything. Memphis has beaten bad teams pretty soundly, but haven't had a quality win all season. Comparing common opponents, the Navy and Tulane results really stand out. SMU has found a way to win close games for the most part, while Memphis has found ways to lose those games, including the UCF result.

All of that points to an SMU 34-28 type of victory. Memphis has struggled against the big opponents because they either haven't been able to run the ball or they turned it over a bunch. The SMU defensive line needs to play a lot better this week for us to win.

First we're a .500 team. Not exactly what most experts would call a tough team. Second, that we are co leaders in the west may indicate more how weak the west is.

This is a huge game that our players have never been in at this level. Memphis has been in these types of games. Its a plus its a home game for us. I hope people show up and make it a home advantage.

This is a testament to our players that they have put temselves in this position. With the schedule front loaded with tough games, this team could have folded. Instead, they got much better.

It does make a difference when there is something to play for. If we play as we did agaisnt Houston, we win. If we run around like a monkey fornicating with a football like UConn, we lose and lose badly.
