Heard from a member of the faculty that he's considering elsewhere... hopefully Sonny finds a way to keep him but sounds like too late... Not surprising though given every year we always look to have a decent class and commits bolt in December, Jan and so on.

Welcome to SMU recruiting.... players lock down a commitable offer and then wait to see if a better commitable offer comes along. Many of the supposed P5 offers aren’t commitable......
I read that Alabama gave 282 offers in the last recruiting cycle.

I’m glad we have the early signing period so that we can force players hand. If they don’t sign then we still have time to find a replacement.... as opposed to getting raided the last 2 days before signing date.

Now schools get raided 2 days before early signing period.

just about every top G5 recruiting class gets picked over every year by P5--and that happens also to schools like TCU Tech and Baylor
