Well next year they won’t have Jarrey to lean on for making a run.ObeyMyDog wrote:Spoke with a buddy who spoke with some SMU officials tonight. They're going to ride this thing down until it burns to ashes and dust. They don't believe there are long term systemic problems - coaching or otherwise.
Only hope is boosters losing their mind.
How sad

I won't believe it until I see it.

I’m in Ireland so missed the game, but
I’m saddened to hear the reports. I have been vocal about my contempt for the way SMU has treated the program and its fans but my love for my Ponies is too strong for this not to genuinely hurt.
The administration has no clue. Of course they don’t see systemic problems, they are the systemic problems.
As we say here ΓÇ£they couldn’t run a pissup in a brewery.ΓÇ¥

Jarrey will get 13 and 5 replacing Dixon in the lineup. A little scoring boost as well as a defensive boost. But honestly I don't think it will be such a significant impact that it will lead to a run. Unless Mike steps up somehow, Foster will boost this thing up to a middle of the pack AAC team and that is about it.Rebel10 wrote:Well next year they won’t have Jarrey to lean on for making a run.ObeyMyDog wrote:Spoke with a buddy who spoke with some SMU officials tonight. The officials can say whatever they want. I missed giving my perspective tonight, but I'm sure plenty of us will speak up to whomever before the end of the season. Irrespective of any of that, the most important thing is that Miller won't let it slip. Hopefully, it is his name going on the court this season. He isn't going to sit pat if the year is middle of the pack and the recruiting isn't going well.

Foster will replace Isiah Mike not Dixon

You sound like one of those it’s the administration’s fault only about the losss posters. How much responsibility does the coach have?Mustangsabu wrote:I’m in Ireland so missed the game, but

You sparked my curiosity. I didn't realize there was an NBA G League and all of the NBA teams own one for development purposes.horsemanx wrote:Sure worked out for Shake!Rebel10 wrote:That’s not what he asked. Having been at SMU during the Jim Krebs glory days, and attended virtually all the home games under Brown, I am deeply saddened by the demise of SMU basketball.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Official Game Thread - Powerful Lipscomb Bisons
Left pissed off last night and will be pissed off all season long I'm quite sure. Foster has to play, he's not Ed Oliver and he's not even Shake. If he doesn't play at all, he won't get drafted. But as painful as it is, it would be better at this point if he didn't. A change HAS to be made and the quicker the better. Foster coming back and giving us a spark and causing some to think maybe we're OK would be the worst thing possible for the long-term of this program.
Watch David Miller closely next time as we get completely out-coached in every phase of the game - the disgust on his face is obvious. It was actually comical a few times last night when some others came up to try to say hello to him and he wouldn't even look at them - just sat their stone faced with a grandchild in his lap...
Would love to know who is on the short list - we need someone like a Hurley or Penny, not Cross. I just don't know who that is yet.

Two excuses:
We get our star player back this week.
Lipscomb returned everyone from a Tourney team.

maybe next year hart will dumb-down our schedule again and we will play a few high schools like HP, Allen and Flower Mound. Oh wait!! that could be embarrassing as well.
Moody Madness has now become Moody sadness. thanks RGT, jank and hart (for nothing)
