That's a good hire. He can recruit and has had success there.

Know the Fedora family pretty well...there were folks telling him that UNC was not a place to go. His Southern Miss teams were capable and tough...his Tar Heel teams were anything but.

He is actually a good coach, and well thought of here in Texas. I could see him catching on again somewhere fairly soon.

Mack is a good coach, and had a goof run there many years ago. He will be an adequate "interim" until bigger fish are available.

People must realize that Edsall recruits made MD a formidable team this year that should have beaten Ohio State losing in OT on a blown 2 point pass to a wide open receiver. In addition, he had the MD commitment of Ohio State's current starting QB who left after he was fired. Unfortunately, UConn is not a draw and he may or may not be able to bring it back to respectable.

What ever we do we must never. bring Edsall to Ford. Ford has already suffered embarrassing defeat with Edsall (sic) in the 50’s.
