RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTS????Moderators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSThe adult fans were either run off in the reseat or have watched us play some really bad basketball and aren't interested.
The buddy I've gone to games with the past few years told me after the game he couldn't take it anymore and would go to the TCU game, but that's it for non-conference. I can't blame him, really. ![]()
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSCan, or will, Miller,Crum, Lloyd, et. al. intervene regarding the employment status of Jank and Hart; or, are we to rely solely on Turner and the administration to make a positive and immediate move to remedy this mess?
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSWe will beat McNeese and then have a big game against the Frogs. Bet we get a respectable crowd for that one
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSI and my family were part of the 1500. Dropped four season tickets in 104. Have not gone to a game and do not intend to. Have also dropped ALL contributions to SMU and so has my family.
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSPoor little privileged, entitittled SMU fans and students.

Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTS
C'mon Stallion Your focus and expertise on athletics is certainly recruiting based. You can't be looking at what is going on with the bball program and for one second think it is acceptable Usually, the team that scores the most points wins the game - John Madden
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSI am one of the1500...I played the reseat game.i lost my seats. My loyalty to smu has been challenged as of now this is my final year of any support. I don’t blame just Jank I blame hart and turner I think they believe the reseat worked because they got more money but they misssed their mark.i really doubt they care about my thoughts but I doubt Jankhadanything to do with the reseat
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSThats not the current system. Pay $79, get a shirt, all kinds of other stuff, food, free tix etc. 400+ signed up for The Mob. They're just not showing up. As some pointed out this morning: ![]()
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTS"If we - students, fans - attend depending upon the situation then we are like most programs. If we attend consistently regardless of situation we will differentiate our program. This impacts recruiting, record, etc. That’s when it is special."
- Rick Hart I did attend consistently regardless of the situation....then you decided to do a reseat and [deleted] off the people you are now talking down to. - Bitter Season Ticket Holder
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTS
Thanks Captain Obvious, but the question is what about the games after TCU? Last edited by Rebel10 on Wed Nov 28, 2018 3:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSTickets cost nothing anymore
My prediction for TCU game is Moody is 50-50 fan split. Then the crowds are really going to get dismal after the because of schedule/TCU will destroy us/more regulars will have lost the will to attend after that Then nothing will change and we can yell online more about it Usually, the team that scores the most points wins the game - John Madden
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSI don’t think a TCU is that good either so it will probably be a close game at home. Probably a toss up.

Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSIt didn't look horrible on ESPN3. UT's game against The Citadel on a Friday night was also sparsely attended, They had 8212 in recorded attendance but I believe the Frank Erwin Center holds about 16K. The game vs. ULM on Monday the 12th had 7453 in attendance.
Last night's SMU attendance was 5611. Therefore, unless UT counts attendance differently, why would SMU have only 1800 fewer fans attending, or tickets sold, than a school with almost 50K students and tens of thousands of alumni within driving distance? Did Hart think that Jarrey's return was going to cure all attendance woes? It seems like admin I know point to his return as a panacea. I hope it helps the record but it probably won't be enough to be ranked and win back the fans.
Re: RICK HART: Where in the HELL are our FANS --- STUDENTSFor the love of all that is holy, people need to stop believing that reported attendance figure.
Last night was the 1,500. We've come full circle. And how did it not look terrible to have about 25 students in the prime Mob section? Some serious rationalizing going on here. ![]()
