Re: Other scores of interest
There are always plenty of early season upsets, but seems like more "no names" are involved this year and that makes it seem worse. There are some pretty good no names out there...just look at last year's tourney with teams like UMBC and Loyola-Chicago.

It is really going to have an impact on the NET ranking this year. Very interesting to see how it turns out.
The fact is that there are a lot better shooters across the board in youth basketball now than every before. If you go watch youth ball, there are a ton of players who grew up watching Steph and have figured out how to jack up quick shots and be very efficient from three. None of them can shoot free throws, but it is amazing what they can do from three and how far out their range is.
That breadth of shooters will allow a lot of teams to hang in against athletically superior teams. You will see more and more of these types of upsets and close scores as we move forward.

Decent teams can become really good teams when 3 point shooters are on...one of the great equalizers in college hoops

I hope my niece on the UTRGV dance team has a good performance and we'll see how the game shakes out.DanFreibergerForHeisman wrote:Charleston Pony wrote:Houston...the last remaining unbeaten team in the American, is down by 2 to Texas-RGV at half

Actually seeing that the game is in Houston scratch that.
I'd be surprised if the Coogs don't pull it out.

Highlanders look like they are for real with road wins at Notre Dame and now Texas. They play at Clemson in 2 weeks. This year's Cinderella?

Wow! The Baylor players may not have their normal privileges after a beating like that!

44 to 15 at the half. Wichita State should not be taken lightly for sure.
