Right after starting lineups were announced, the MC came out and said "lets shake moody". The cheerleaders were lined up on each side of the court. One side had signs that said Shake and the other side had signs that said Moody. They then tried to get the crowd to chant Shake....Moody .....Shake .....Moody. It was so bad that some of the crowd was booing. I thought I was at a 3rd grade basketball game for a second

I was in the concourse getting a beer and all of a sudden I hear that lady screaming SHAKE MOODY repeatedly into a microphone. It was so cringe.

Its such a fake chant. I was embarrassed. Just chant S-M-U for goodness sake. Then in the last 3 minutes of a great win, " Moody Madness." That's it. That's all we have. No more of this BS.

For those not there, they had the in-game host lady scream this into the mic right after lineups and before the opening tip. They even had a jumbotron graphic flipping back and forth between SHAKE and MOODY.
It was awful.
Just as bad is the chants they make the players do and they recorded and they play in-game.

I am still so angry about the chant - manufactured enthusiasm fails 100% of the time.

I am sure it was somebody in the game presentation dept's idea - they should be fired for being a moron.

I need one of those men in black memory pens to erase that chant from my brain. I just can't get over how painful that was

Let's pray that this was a horrible prank created by TCU sabotage or that the person who came up with this is not being paid by SMU. I'll accept either one.
