Nic Moore Asst Coach to Jank

Nic Moore is a SMU Basketball Legend. We need to make this happen.

I understand that Sir Nic is playing oversees, making millions, happily married, etc. I wonder a couple of things. How long of a career will Nic have playing oversees? Would Nic ever be interested in coaching? Would Nic be interested in joining Jank's coaching staff at SMU?

Imagine how Nic Moore's presence could help restore our basketball program at SMU. I would like to think that Nic and Jank have a good personal relationship. Jank recruited Nic. Jank brought Nic to SMU. Nic understands Jank's system. Nic has played for Jank. Nic understands what Jank wants from his players. Nic has a high basketball IQ. Nic has led the SMU Basketball Team as a player. Nic's reputation in the SMU Community is probably second to none. I would like to imagine that Nic could be a strong recruiter. Recruits could relate to Nic's basketball experience at SMU. SMU fans would know and recognize Nic Moore. Nic could help restore the SMU basketball program reputation.

Nic Moore becoming an Assistant Coach under Jank is just an idea. Sure makes sense to me on all the fronts that I mentioned in my original post. Hope that it comes true. Pony Up Nic!

I do think Nic goes into coaching when his playing days are over.

But only in a fairy tale does he revive SMU’s program and save Jank’s butt.

Maybe so, but if Jank leaves SMU and catches on somewhere else, I would not be surprised for Nic (if coaching is the path he chooses) to begin as an assistant on Jank's staff, wherever that might be. Nic respected Jank enough to leave Illinois State and sit out a year so he could play for him (and Larry Brown, of course) at SMU and we are all thankful for that.

It’s hard to say where Jank would be today without the deal he made to get to SMU.
Going forward though I see it as a downward trajectory when he gets fired.

He was making 350k at job he had prior 750 k he couldn't say no . I wonder where his future will take him..
