Re: SMU @ TUL Game Thread
people criticize him but he's not taking those ridiculous 30 footers he took at USF. He's mostly taking open 3 pointers except when the clock is winding down and nobody wants to ball. Thank gawd we have some one that can create in that situation. Hitting about 42% of his 3s. Think he needs to start getting some credit. In recent weeks he's also started distributing the ball more which I hope continues

Quite possibly the deadest arena in America. Every single person (which ain't many) can be heard in normal convo.

Fast start, ugly finish with multiple turnovers in 1st half.

Re: SMU @ TUL Game Thread
poor 32% shooting but good rebounding (26-18) , defense (Tulane 28%), Free Throws (7-8) and few turnovers (4)

I’d take him back for another year. He’s come a long way. The Vinnie Johnson analogy is a good one. He’d be a heck of a sixth man on a strong team.

It seems SMU, in many of our games, suffers a drop off in intensity in 2nd halves. I hope we play a solid one tonight and win by at least 20.
Long live Inez Perez!

There was a real change in the ECU game. We played very well the last 5 min of the first half and the first five of the second. It would be really cool to sustain that.Arkpony wrote:It seems SMU, in many of our games, suffers a drop off in intensity in 2nd halves. I hope we play a solid one tonight and win by at least 20.

The first thing Douglas needs to do is lose that stupid head band. No wonder he can't play - he thinks it's 1978.
A long tradition of existence.

The announcers keep harping on the scholarship limits. I'd take it seriously if the last two ships this year hadn't gone to a walk-on and a DITR.
