It is getting very tiresome, but with Ray not able to play and now Jarrey going down, we will be down to 9 scholarship guys so expect a lot more of the same.SoCal_Pony wrote:I can't recall 1 game I've watched this year were they don't mention the hardships Tank has had to endure.smupony94 wrote:Jank just blamed the loss on not enough seniors
Hmmm who is responsible for that coach????
Too bad he can't work recruits the way he does these announcers.

Re: Official: No. 21 Houston at SMU
How anyone can still support Jank after yet another atrocious coaching job last night (Hunt's minutes, lack of timeouts, awful offensive "gameplan"); his complete loser/excuse mentality EVERY time a mic is in front of his face; his total lack of engagement with the fans/students/community; and above it all his June level recruiting to the point where he is TURNING DOWN 4 star kids willing to pay their own way to come here - is completely baffling to me.
I've been to hundreds of games at Moody and don't remember ever hearing fans consistently scream at OUR head coach like I heard and saw last night. Also don't remember Moody emptying out so early in a game since the renovation.
Believe all of his excuses if you are so inclined, and stand next to him as he completely fire torches this program. The next guy is already in for a rebuild - every day that passes makes the job that much tougher those first couple of years.

those that think Jank will be fired are out of their minds. Hart has no balls.
Re: Official: No. 21 Houston at SMU
Replacing revenue sports coaches is not Hart’s call.... he has a vote but it’s largely on the core donor group, Turner, and the BOD athletic committee. In MBB, David Miller is the guy that can get a coaching change done if he wants. His past support and more importantly future support are key to a competitive program and Turner and the BOD will listen closely to his views.

Houston is #21. We are #121. What did we expect?
Re: Official: No. 21 Houston at SMU
A more competitive game. Home court is a big advantage in college basketball. BTW Wichita State beat UCF yesterday.
Re: Official: No. 21 Houston at SMU
That's what I was thinking. I wanted to beat Houston, because it's Houston, but even with Foster healthy, it would have been a considerable upset.mtrout wrote:Houston is #21. We are #121. What did we expect?
The game was respectable, even with Foster in the trainer's room and McMurray not having a good scoring night. Move on ... and I still hate UH.

Re: Official: No. 21 Houston at SMU
You mean the 3 seniors he actually has on roster and 1 one he ran off? Is this like that flat out lie where he tells the telecast crew that Foster is the "only" player to be in the program for more than a year when the entire starting five has?smupony94 wrote:Jank just blamed the loss on not enough seniors

If you were smart enough to take it, Santa came early with the game as a pickericdickerson4life wrote:Not that Vegas is always correct, but that games was suppose to be a pick'em.mtrout wrote:Houston is #21. We are #121. What did we expect?

Re: Official: No. 21 Houston at SMU
The Houston Game was definitely tough to watch. Very ugly game to watch. Low FG% from both teams. We played a team whose players were more talented and more physical. Houston wanted it more.
One of the craziest stats that I read after the game was that it was a 9 point game at halftime and an 11 point game at the end of the game. Meaning that Houston only scored 2 more points than SMU after halftime. I am not saying we played a good second half. I am not saying that we played a good game.
Losing Jarray hurts beyond stats. We do not have a leader on this team other than maybe Whitt.
Chagois once again looked lost. Not sure that he knows how to play defense. Not sure that he has the confidence to play close to the basket. I do not know what happend to his confidence. Not saying that he is a banger down low, but in a past life I have seen him work closer to the basket. Anyone can sit behind the 3-point line and jack up 3s.
McMurray, well, we have seen it before... He makes a few 3s and then disappears and plays no defense.

PonyKai,
Help me understand what Seniors SMU had on the roster that you claim that Jank ran off. My understanding was that last season Shake Milton left early for the NBA Draft. In your eyes is that running off a player? Insert Laugh Here.
