Other scores of interestModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Other scores of interestHouston and Cincy both winners tonight solidifying their places at the top of the AAC
Re: Other scores of interest
Big road wins for both especially considering it's really hard to win on the road in conference. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Other scores of interest
These are especially impressive road wins because Memphis and UCF have shown they are at least "upper half" of our league teams
Re: Other scores of interestdisastrous loss by Temple trailing Tulsa by 23 on the road with 2 minutes left

Re: Other scores of interest
Two bid league. Maybe. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Other scores of interestFrogs spanking #17 Iowa state 3 minutes left in the 1st half
Re: Other scores of interestTaking a quick peek at Wichita state and Tulane. I didn't realized Tulane has not won a conference game this year
Re: Other scores of interestHouston beats Cincy to remain undefeated at home and all alone in 1st place in AAC play. They have officially reversed roles with the SMU of just a few years ago!
Re: Other scores of interestmy what a difference in coaching and recruiting makes.
Re: Other scores of interest
That was a great game. Miss those. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Other scores of interestBoth Cincy and Houston played 10 guys today. Houston is so deep I have little doubt that their second five could beat us. We are simply not able nor are we on a path to compete for another conference championship under the current coach.
Watching that game after watching a half full Moody with maybe a couple dozen students in what used to be “New Moody.” Well that hurts. This has to change. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Other scores of interestECU gave USF a scare but the Bulls hang on to win 72-68 in OT and keep ECU winless on the road. Pretty good battle shaping up for 3rd and 4th place and 1st round byes in the AAC Tourney, not that it affects us in any way. This SMU team is playing it's way to a "one and done" post season.
Bizarre stats in that ECU/USF game. USF out rebounds ECU 42-19 but ECU takes 55 shots to USF's 50. ECU had 3 guys foul out and USF made more FTs than ECU attempted, but USF also turned it over 19 times. Just another day in the AAC
Re: Other scores of interestUConn got 42 minutes and 8 points from their bench in their 78-71 loss at Memphis while playing only 7 guys.
We got 6 points in 39 minutes from our bench while playing 9 guys today. Guess we won't have the "short bench" excuse when we play UConn at Moody, but we have to go lose a game at Temple this week before we get to find out.
Re: Other scores of interest
Jank dodges a bullet - a win by ECU would have given them a decent chance to pass us for 10th! As it is, we are almost assured of finishing 10th, ahead of ECU and Tulane. Opening game vs someone like UConn, Wichita or Memphis.
Re: Other scores of interestHouston wins at UConn and Tulsa wins at Tulane, so that is going to leave SMU and Uconn battling it out for 9th vs 10th place next week. I know that will fire up our fan base for the next big game at Moody. Whoda thunked it would come to this?
