I feel awful for Jarrey and Whitt and even McMurray. They did all they could. Now the scary part ——- they’re all gone for next season.
This program is gonna be burned to the ground and the next time we’re gonna be relevant nationally will be in the 2024 presidential cycle.
Hope everyone enjoys horrible offseason recruiting, a dumpy November tournament and the worst non-conference schedule we have ever seen as Jank tries to keep his job.

Yes this program is going the burn down. It will be at Doh-like levels with one major difference. If PF’s is any indicator of the most loyal fans (and of course it is) my gut tells me a certain % of the 1,500 have walked away due to Hart’s handling of the reseat.

So Skyscraper, I actually feel worse for the SMU fans who will suffer through the next several years of ineptitude, whom ever they may be.

Roster is slowly dwindling down. For all the talk of sanctions and our depleted roster and not being able to practice 5 on 5, you clearly only need 7-8 guys who can compete at this level to be successful. This year we had 6 (when Jarrey was healthy) and next year we will have even fewer unless some of our incoming recruits surprise us. Won't help much to have 13 scholarship guys if only 3-4 are AAC caliber players. Can only hope that Jank and next year's team can prove us all wrong.

Only silver Iinging is, we have all the pieces in place to be a successful program when the rebuild starts. Great area a, great facilities, good conference, great city. A coach that is decent will do well with the situation.

It’s clear that what Jankovich is doing is not working and it goes beyond the sanctions. Yes the sanctions affect a team’s ability to recruit and especially roster management as you have fewer scholarships to mitigate failures/recruiting misses with the guys you signed. However his inability to land a single top target is what did him in for me. However I think because he has the legitimate excuse about sanctions (which still doesn’t explain all his recruiting misses but provides a convenient excuse) as welll as playing Cincinnati close, he will be granted another year. Then, who can reasonably expect a freshmen heavy roster to truly be competitive so I think he will get another year to develop them.

I don't have a problem with the article. The writer is merely reporting the fact that someone really hates Jankovich and came up with a game and started a parody account to mock Jankovich. Those are the facts. It is also true that two years ago we were headed to the NCAA tournament and have been mediocre to bad ever since. I suppose the writer could have added a tidbit about our atrocious recruiting for more balance but as he said, time will tell what happens.
