SMU's offense has more questions than its defense. What?"smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU's offense has more questions than its defense. What? It's weird.
Hoping Buechele is a major upgrade at QB and 6-6 becomes "easy"! Shake It Off Moody
Re: SMU's offense has more questions than its defense. What? Most expect a loss at Arkansas State and while I'm in agreement, if this team can win that one, they will be in good shape for a really successful season. I keep waiting for SMU to be the surprise team of the year. Every year it seems someone in college football steps up and out performs almost all of the "experts" predictions. I feel as good about our QB position and both OL & DL depth as I have in years.
Re: SMU's offense has more questions than its defense. What?I'd be really disappointed in 6-6. I think we are going to find that actually having an OL coach matters. On top of that if K Smith is stepping up as much as reports indicate, we actually have 4 legit players competing at tackle. Our only concern on the line is at RG. That will impact the run game unless a frosh is ready to play or a GT shows up, but last season he had issues across the line except center. So we will be in a much better position.
Defensively, we have massive issues at safety (I'll buy into Denbow only after I see him having success there). Concerns at corner (I think Hayes year two is going to be really good. I thin you are looking at Crawford/Moore year two compared to year one. Having a JUCO come in and start year one at corner has never been great, however, on the other side). But I think we will be very, very strong and deep at DE, DT, and LB. Even an incremental improvement in the offense should result in a 6-6 record.
Re: SMU's offense has more questions than its defense. What?I definitely do not expect a loss at Arkansas State. That would be a terrible way to start the season. I'd also hope we can be better than 6-6 (which we should've been last year).

Re: SMU's offense has more questions than its defense. What?Offense needs to reload after losing several contributors...defense made some improvements from the "Van years".
Upgrades and consistency are keys for success this coming year....said Mr Obvious. stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
