Apparently TCU has an $8M buyout. That goes quite a ways towards new coaching salary.

TCU paid 10 million for his buyout in 2016 . Lot of old money in Fart Worth.
That's positioning yourself for an upgrade .

That can't do well with recruits, seeing that the coach was two steps out the door already. You would have to assume he would be gone the next time someone was willing to pony up the buyout $

What I find hilariously ironic here is the big deal made about Dixon ΓÇ£returning home to his alma materΓÇ¥ roughly 15 minutes ago...... ummmm......until a better offer comes along.

He may have thought he was Chad. He may end up being June.

So TCU was willing to spend $10M on a buyout and three years later, UCLA wasn’t willing to pay $8M.

It’s a shame we might not play the Frogs next season and it’s also a shame the Mob is dead. A few years back Dixon would have been heckled right out of Moody.
