It is outstanding. By the name of the place, you can assume there's a ton of cheese, and you'd be right — three kinds. The meat is really flavorful, too. If there's a complaint, it would be that the burger-to-bun ration is way off, but overall, the burger is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Way off in which direction? I like a big meat to bun ratio

I was wondering the same thing. Might just need to go get one.

Other way around, unfortunately. Burger covered maybe 2/3 of the bun.
But it's still really good.

Re: Burger wars, re-visited
I went with some co-workers to a place in Uptown called Bowen House ... which is easy to miss, since there's no sign.
When the burger arrived, it wasn't encouraging. It's served in two thin patties, which immediately brought to mind various fast food choices ... but was much better. The burger had a smoky just-off-the-grill flavor, and the bun was a good match — lightly toasted and not too doughy. Fries are not great, but not bad. Ditch the American cheese in flavor of one of the other options and you have a surprisingly good burger. It's worth a return trip.

On Boll, just west of McKinney Avenue — in a little building that looks like a green house.

State Twenty-Eight is open now. Mockingbird Lane in the new West Love development between Forest Park Road and Maple Ave. Nice place. Multiple TVs and good bar. Typical Snuffer's fare. Solid burger, nothing fancy. Po Boys looked real good. Fries are outstanding.
