Marcus Smith, a 6-3, 315-pound guard from Stafford, Texas, announced via his Twitter account that he has committed to SMU over offers from Alcorn State, Houston, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, North Texas, Texas Southern, Tulsa, Utah State and Yale.
"First and foremost, I wanna thank every coach that has contacted me throughout this recruitment process. With that said I am happy to announce that I am 1000% committed to Southern Methodist University. This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make and I had the best time going through this recruitment process, but I’m locked in with SMU Pony Up!!"
