H.S. QBs are often the best athlete on their teams and plenty have gone on to play WR, DB or RB in college. We have a few of those guys on the roster who are contributing. Size is a concern at the next level, but looks like he has good quickness, speed and sees the field well so hopefully he will be another contributor. Don't know if he might still be growing but RS year can't hurt.

Plus he will be used to big crowds having played at Allen.

Sometimes you see one of these ├╝ber-athletic QBs who is tiny and becomes a slot WR because of their running ability, and I would guess that's what happens with this guy. But watch those highlights. He can throw it.

Maybe the best part is this means 2 Allen guys in 2 years. Let's get some more.

Not good. His test numbers are elite. He could end up being Tavon Austin.

The staff is moving to an analytics approach when it comes to recruiting. I had heard they were analytics driven in the play calling from last year, but they are really working it in recruiting also. Get the kids to camp, measure them. If they hit the numbers, love football, work hard, and are a good fit personality wise they get an offer. It is going to be interesting to see how it plays out, because they are either going to pull players in early who are going to blow up their senior year, or they are going to pull in a lot of players who are great in the underwear Olympics but don't produce on the field. I don't thin they did it as much in the class coming this fall.
