Hard to believe there was all that excitement just because that team punched a ticket to the Final Four of the NIT. Think our school has been just a little starved for athletic success? Just imagine what might have been if we had actually made some noise in the NCAA Tourney!

Do we really think it's over, that we have no chance of returning to greatness? Was just thinking, the 30-win season was a little more than two years ago. And on the date of January 1st, 2018, Jank could boast a 51-8 record at the helm of SMU. Fifty one wins and eight losses, folks. That was about a year and a half ago when the words "perennial power" were starting to be murmured.

A coach who can recruit. If that's not Jank, so be it. But the pieces are all still there.

Look, Jank doesn't belong at this level. It is painfully obvious. LB had us on the verge of top 25 level program, where Sampson has UH now.

Jank can't recruit and we all know that. KT killed it the last six months and he saved the roster. If Jolly is as advertised, we can be top 5 in the AAC.

Bottom line is the culture LB established is completely gone. Recruiting has gone to [deleted], and no one following the program has any faith about the future. It is what it is. Sun-shiners get swayed because someone speaks at a church or gathering, but it is all about results. Ask ponyboy about J Jones. JJ destroyed the football program but I bet he still defends him. Jank is doing the same now.

With Jolly, McNeill, Hunt and Mike we can be good. I'm not sure how good but we have potential. It has nothing to do with Jank but he is the guy, and will be through 2021. Who we hire after he is gone is the telling factor.

And the sooner he is gone the better. He is not a P7 coach.
