Okay, so the kid has now played two positions at four schools.

I mean, I understand. It's about a month away from kickoff and we may be looking at our team and came to understand that we still have a scholarship to give and this kid is the best possible addition - so be it. I hope he contributes in a meaningful way.

But what exactly[ is his role here? What would be the coaches expectations for this kid? Added depth at the LB spot?

Great athlete. If he gels as a LB and fits into the rotation, that is a bonus because of all of the position switching.

At minimum will be a really nice add to the special teams unit. He will be a stud on coverage teams.
