An Early Dear Santa

Post by ponyfan777 »

Dear Santa,

It seems that we need a KICKER something bad. Even though our soccer team is 200 feet away and continues to rank in the Top 25, we still can't find a KICKER.

This year we'll muddle thru running 6 or 8 of them out there. But, Santa all we want for Christmas for next year and moving forward is a KICKER.

Thanks!!

Go Ponies!

Robledo returned for the last two extra point attempts and looked good. Hopefully he is good to go moving forward.

Is Robledo injured? And what started this whole kicker mess.

He has been out all year with a groin injury.

We had a highly rated kicker decide he didn’t want to play anymore at the last minute.

Women’s soccer is ranked too. I would imagine all those women could do better than 6 missed PATs

Robledo career stats at SMU:

20-29 yards: 7-of-8
30-39 yards: 6-of-7
40-49 yards: 2-of-4

XP: 55-of-59

Two of his four XP misses were this season which is a bit concerning but otherwise aren't those pretty good percentages?

While you're at it, ask Santa to throw in a punter

#97 doing a good job of kicking, he's missed only the one XP Saturday and his first FG(UNT) was blocked that Dykes took the blame for because the O-line was in wrong blocking scheme. He made the cluth FG at TCU

Appears Robledo is back after kicking the last 2 PATs. Hopefully back to full strength in case FGs are needed this week. Was nice to see those 2 PATs split the uprights
