I would love this. Not great for the conference as I think they would be rooting for Memphis to beat Temple so we play a team that might be ranked higher than us so that we might jump ahead of Boise St and ultimately the NY6 bowl slot.

Yep, ^ this. I think Memphis can outscore Temple even though their defense is stout. Best for conference is Memphis win and two ranked teams play when we beat Memphis. Should catapult winner over Boise.

If Memphis beats Temple, and (if) we beat temple, that would have to setup one of the highest ranked G5 match ups right?

Don't care and think this is a gift from the football gods. SMU gets to see how two top AAC teams handle each other. We get to learn a lot about both Temple and Memphis. Wonder if the team decided to have position watch parties and oh, guess what, the positions coaches just happen to stop by. Talk about insight! Wish we had this opportunity back in the day.

I'm confident in beating temple. It's beating Houston the week before a potential huge showdown at Memphis that worries me

Interesting to note is if Temple wins they would be 2-0 against AP25 and we are 1-0. We are the only teams in the conference that have an undefeated record against AP top 25. #FunFact

23-14 Temple at half
