This was the most complete game I’ve seen SMU playin many, many years! What a great performance! The only quibble is the inability to put them away in the 3rd quarter off the turn over.
Great performance!

I really don’t like Herbstreit! Before he even picked,I knew he would pick Temple.

655 yards for SMU to 273 for Temple. Dominating win. Congrats to the Stangs. Break up the Stangs.

Well, not to start a panic thread but while the Houston score is appalling against FCS UCONN. We have to know that there's trap components to this game:

1) SWC rivalry
2) Road game
3) their chance to knock us off the Top 25 when we've done it to them twice.

Should play the old Lee Corso SMU/UH prediction video for the team tomorrow...it will set the mood for the next 5 days.

100% disagree. Temple did not quit one bit. They had an attitude to the very end (and the penalties to match). Keep punching them in the mouth is absolutely the right message in response.

By the way, SMU is going to set (or has already set, with 2) the record for the highest number of helmets ripped off during play that are somehow not called penalties. I did notice when we did it Kate to them, it was somehow called lol.

Don't know exactly when you posted this but when TJ was bull rushed into Shane you could see on the replay the defender had both hands grabbing his face mask trying to rip his head off. No call.

On another note certainly got tired of all the time ESPN spent on boot shopping, eating, etc. while the game was going on.

That. And the multiple horsecollar tackles by temple never called. Terrible

Eh.

That's what happens when you have a 3TD lead in the fourth.

Let's just all agree that the AAC has the worst refs in college football, NFL, high school and pee wee.

We ran 109 plays to Temple's 69. Certainly helped that our D held them to several 3 and outs but Sonny's offense shows more "tempo" than Chad's ever did. One concern is that we converted only 50% (4-8) of our red zone opportunities. Always room for improvement and that may well be the focus in this short week preparing for Houston

I'm no coach but sure would like to see Shane go under center on those 3rd or 4th and ones. Trying to run up the middle from the shotgun when the defense is bunched doesn't seem to work out as often as I would like.
