I remember JJ's "formula" for turning SMU around. 1st you build an exciting offense that can hopefully outscore opponents and bring fans back to watch en entertaining brand of football. Once you start winning consistently, you hope the higher caliber defensive players will give you a look. JJ didn't recruit hard enough and thought players would come to SMU just because of who he was. Chad and company worked [deleted] the trail, but didn't stay long enough to develop much credibility. Sonny had a better foundation to build off than Chad did, but has done a really good job of filling holes and has clearly benefited from the implementation of the transfer portal. Sonny also appears to have done a much better job putting together his staff. The big question going forward is how well he will backfill when guys get hired away because you know that's going to happen.

a Man wise beyond his years. Well said, Treadway. Oh, and for the record, Ben Hicks transfers to Hogs thread is the most popular PFs thread of 2019, and it’s not even close.
Could it live on as long as the Burger Wars thread did?

Classic Chad!!! This comment says it best ..... Same ol' "ear tickler" Chad. O, maybe someone should change the YT channel name from HawgBeat to at least HawgTied. That way the Razorback fans would have no losses: 0-0-12

See those pics of Lincoln before and after the Civil War . . . CM looked awful. I almost felt sorry for him.

I DO feel sorry for Chad. He did us lousy, but I still wish him well.
Long live Inez Perez!

Why would he want to coach that awful mess for 3-4 more years when he can get fired and get paid virtually the same?

I actually felt bad for him. He is way out of his depth and still doesn’t take any responsibility himself. He was just disappointed.
They need to fire him.

Chad should get a win this weekend....
If Chad can't beat the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in Fayetteville then maybe he should get fired.

John Stephen Jones listed as starter for this weekend and KJ Jefferson backup.
Looks like the last pass Hicks will ever throw will indeed be a pick 6.
