Team showed their grit against Tulsa and Houston, and this game. Just couldnΓÇÖt make the needed big plays on defense and special teams got us. Credit to the Memphis QB who played a great game.

If you want to play with the big boys, you have to understand a team is offense, defense and special teams. This special teams is detrimental. At best youΓÇÖd expect neutral impact but SMU lost because this special teams is as bad as I have ever seen. I canΓÇÖt imagine top high school teams being worse.

Is there really a special teams coach? Not kidding but this was a joke of a performance.

Awful special teams and lack of big plays on D sank us. We could have pulled it off against an average team but Memphis was too good.
