agree that Highland Park must have more of a lure than Fayetteville AR. He has no need to remain in AK, his house is not yet listed for sale. might be a hard resell at this price range. Did he sell his Highland Park house?

Everyone assumes Chad and his family prefer to live in Dallas and Highland Park but unless you know the family well, keep in mind Chad was an East Texas boy and I hear they really enjoyed Clemson so don't discount the possibility that small town living might really appeal to them. I would not be shocked to see Chad end up coaching some Southland Conference or SunBelt school where Chandler might have an opportunity to compete for playing time at QB. The big question I have (with both Chad and Sonny) is whether they will be content to "coach down a notch" or whether they will want to work back to being head coaches at some P5 school that at least has a chance of playing for a national championship. In Chad's case, a job with some FCS school would at least give him a chance to compete for a national championship and might be a more appropriate level for him to succeed as a HC and for Chandler to get playing time. Will be interesting to watch how this plays out, especially considering what our Arkansas folks are reporting (that hogs are already fighting with one former coach about his severance pay)

8 decommitments. 0 offensive commitments now. RIP Arkansas.

We have to be in the running for some of these Texas kids.

He does realize this stuff makes it to the internet... what a hypocrite. I'm glad he's gone.

Just to clarify, it was Arkansas, not Arkansas State (that will get you killed here in Arkansas) and it was 1.5 million, not 15 million. But the sentiment is the same.

You're absolutely right. I can't believe I made either of those mistakes, much less both of them.

Chandler has a lot more options than JSJ had.

They're both 50 which is generally too young for coaches to be content to "coach down a notch" until retirement. Like most coaches, if they perform well enough to be offered by any of the handful of schools that can play for a national championship then they'll accept. Of course those jobs don't come open that often and the competition is stiff when they do so it's entirely possible that offers will never even come.

Dabo might take him back as a coordinator or advisor.

I could see that happening...especially as an adviser so he can lay low and still get his Ark Golden Parachute. Basically add him as an "adviser" at a relatively low salary and it's a win for Chad and a win for Dabo. I would assume Chad enjoyed his time there unlike at SMU and Arkansas.

You might laugh, but somebody made the point that Cumbie is under fire over at TCU and the frogs might be looking for a new OC next year. Say what you want about CM but he's proven his worth as an OC and his HC experience will only help him. That and his son is, I'm assuming, going to be looking for a new school - do the toads need a QB?

Morris wouldn't even have to sell his home in HP. Could probably make it work somehow.

That would certainly add a layer of intrigue to the series but those two together would be an odd fit, can't see either going for it.
