If we get the waivers, I wouldn't be surprised to see William Douglas on that redshirt list. He would be come the 11th player on the roster and not involved in the rotation.
Why would we redshirt Douglas? We need him to graduate and leave the program ASAP so we can put that scholarship to good use. Frankly I don't even understand redshirting the other two. I would rather use our scholarships for transfers than for mediocre players that need an extra year to develop.

It is a bit of head scratcher... maybe the crack lawyer team in Dedman have filed something in court to preempt us into letting us start the two waiver kids....

The issue wasn't the short bench, it was the number of players available for practice. We still have them available for practice, they just won't see game minutes. It has been nice to see 5 players on the court and 9 on the bench. Realistically, 4 to 6 of those 9 won't see much if any game minutes so now we know who they are and they should be motivated to compete and improve for future game minutes or transfer.

That's true and valid by Dan that they can always burn them if we do get injuries.
J Young is really raw, and in an ideal world would have redshirted last year. A year of practice, eating and lifting might get him a lot closer to being a viable part of the rotation.
