Anyone have any pictures? I'm told that Bishop was a river with a car parked at the south end being half way under water!

I hope the campus didn't flood too much. I've had visions of the Mustang Band hall being flooded out, with instrument cases floating in water and the library and all the old charts being ruined.

Go to dallasnews.com and the photography section and you can see a picture of Airline Drive at Smu. It says the dressing rooms at McFarland were flooded.

It was before my time, but I was told once that it used to flood pretty badly in front of Boaz. I heard you could almost go surfing. Any truth to this old timers?
Just my two cents.

They fixed the drains in front of Boaz, but yeah, once a year from 1988-1993 Boaz was underwater at least once...and I mean a foot underwater....
The one I recall best was a frog-strangler that dumped a crazy amount of water in 4 hours, and water was up almost to the steps leading up to Boaz. Every car there had to be towed out because the water was up to the seats.

They sent out an email this morning that said the New rec center had been flooded and that the lower level with the weight room and cardio equipment will have limited access for at least today.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Exactly. Came out of Sports Law final to the storm. Pulled an all-nighter for Income Tax, my last final in law school.

Awesome...I'm assuming from this statement that the new site for the band hall is prone to flooding
Fantastic...

The basement of Dallas Hall flooded, and did the basements of some of the other buildings in the Main Quad. So much for being 'high on the hilltop.' That must have meant something else altogether.

What is in the basement of Dallas Hall these days (besides water)? Just classrooms? Offices? I know it used to sorta be the "student center" with the campus post office, student mail boxes, etc.

In the basement is, English Offices, a little reading area with lots of books, either written or donated by the faculty.
