Re: MBB v Abiline Christian Game Thread
As soon as I shared my frustration SMU went on a 12-0 run! Not a pretty win, but we won by 19 and that Alex Tabor 3 at the end made me happy. On to the next one.

Thankfully ACU was horribly inefficient with turnovers. I believe they only scored 8 pts off of them. Better teams will destroy us if that doesnt get fixed.PonyPride wrote:Good call — SMU has turned it over 14 times, ACU 9SMU_Alum11 wrote:Kind of an ugly game all considering. Way too many turnovers.

The last graphic I saw had us scoring 11 and ACU 9 off turnovers.

We messed around that entire game. Turnovers kept us from blowing them out of the gym, but any time it got close we tightened it up. Game was never in doubt.

Has it been standard operating procedure to let/announce for everyone to come down to lower section or just this game.
No issues. Liked filling lower up.

I think it's great if you bought a $10 ticket.
Not so great if you paid 10 grand

My thought at first, but too bad. Show up. If not, better to have fans low and supporting team.

The down side was having to boot the kids and thier dolls out of my seats and the Dad behind me had his beer in my cup holder. Then he wanted to argue about my 2nd seat and its availability come on man.SMU89 wrote:My thought at first, but too bad. Show up. If not, better to have fans low and supporting team.
I really didn't sign on for that action this time around. Not to mention the fact that I had just watched 5 kids all day long so it was a redux..

Maybe free beer for season ticket holders would take the edge off a bit.
Oh...wait....is this the case of a stub-hubber pulling rank on a border wall jumper?

No I am a season ticket holder that gave 4 grand for seats you can buy for $25 on StubHub. The athletic department is allowing / inviting them to come down in the 2nd half so nobody's jumpin anything. I guess if they would have put out a bulletin that stated, buy a $10 seat and will invite you down to the red seats for free at halftime - the place would be packed all the time lolsadderbudweiser wrote:One Trick Pony wrote:The down side was having to boot the kids and thier dolls out of my seats and the Dad behind me had his beer in my cup holder. I thought the Stangs played loose and got the job done. ACU didn’t go down easy but it’s a job done.
I think I might pick up a couple of these mobile tickets....

Not a bad idea since we'll most probably be be 8-0 when Georgetown comes to Moody next Saturday night.
