Down to 18 undefeated teams with UTEP and Michigan losing last night. Still no "good" wins but at least our guys are starting to win by the kind of margins you would expect against the caliber of teams we have played.

Georgetown knocks Okie State from the ranks of the undefeated and Virginia loses to Purdue. Two other unbeatens trailing. Just keep this thing rolling against Georgetown. If we could somehow be the last unbeaten standing, I agree this program will get a lot of attention and they can attack the soft schedule all they want. There are always plenty of upsets in non-conference play so no opponent should be taken for granted. Just ask Kentucky & Duke.

UConn, Houston, Tulsa and Tulane all winners tonight against lesser opponents. AAC now 68-24 in non-conference play. Not sure how many of those wins have come against teams with winning records, but not a bad start record-wise for the conference compared to years past.

TX State and Rice are 6-3. Rice beat Northwestern LA by six on the road. TX State beat ACU by five at home. Based on those results, it seems like SMU would be a very tough match at home for UH.

I’ve watched multiple games involving other AAC teams. From what I can see some teams appear to be playing well while others are not yet jelling. Here’s what I see SO FAR...

Appear to be exceeding pre season expectations:
Temple, UCONN, SMU

Trending towards top three:
Memphis, Wichita State

Not yet up to pre-season hype:
Houston, Cincy, USF

Havent seen enough to have an opinion:
Tulsa, Tulane, UCF



Totally suck:

Down to 16 unbeatens now. Our 8-0 is about as impressive as Liberty's and Delaware's unbeaten seasons so far, but at least we have played all D-I schools whereas those two have really had to reach for some of their opponents.

Pretty good day for the AAC yesterday with Houston winning by 20 at South Carolina and Wichita State winning by 19 at Okie State. Tulane did lose at St Louis but all quality opponents

Not just SMU but Temple as well after they lost to Missou in Philly. Looking like Memphis, Wichita State and Houston will be the teams to beat this year with UConn on the rise
