I think Tulane goes to Frisco and SMU ends up in one of the Florida games, but I agree with others that it would be nice to get either the Texas Bowl or Shreveport. From a "rewarding the players, coaches and staff" standpoint, Hawaii would probably top their list.
SMU will fill Shreveport in a way that no other AAC option will (including Tulane).
Our AD and our President and Aresco and anyone else at SMU with relationships that matter had better be making this point, strongly.

Rather make a BIG push for Texas Bowl.
Then you’d better hope the SEC gets four teams in the NY6. If only three they’ll probably leave independence without a team and they’ll only be one team short

I’ve seen some Boca Raton too. Checking who they predict in the Independence Bowl I’m seeing random things like W Kentucky, sometimes Tulane. Would make no sense for a G5 team not from the AAC to get that bowl, and also ridiculous for Tulane to get it over SMU.

What gets me is the projections of Tulane in Birmingham. SMU had a way better record than Tulane and beat them solidly, so it shouldn't even be a close comparison.
