Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coachWow really
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coachThey ruined Moody when they removed all the student courtside seating and those pics are exhibits A
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coach
When did the students sit on that side? Hasn’t been that way since at least the mid-80’s. Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coach
Students sat (and stood for big games) courtside in the original Moody and it remained that way until the Mavericks needed Moody for a playoff game they reached ahead of schedule (owner had already booked Reunion Arena so their home court was not available)
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coachthe students didn't sit on a side in the 60s-early 70s-they surrounded the lower level like you see at Duke-that's why I kind of chuckle when everybody talks about how great the MOB was when they filled a few of rows behind the team bench.

Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coachWe used to sit right behind the opposing team bench. Could actually touch the players but of course did not. Great back and forths with Abe Lemons.

Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coachWhen new moody opened the students had a serious presence behind me on the court Facing the logo under the hoop to the right
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coach
Hunt seems like he gets intense. This is just a young team, doing stupid things like young teams do. They are good enough to win every game, but also inexperienced enough to lose any game.
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coachIt seems a little like Kendrick in particular is overly intense for the first three quarters of games only to run out of gas late.
Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coach
Abe was the greatest ! We used to have some great games with the OCU chiefs when he coached there, and then UT. He had a great season going at UT with Jim Wacker's son as his big stud until he broke his foot and the season unraveled costing him his job.

Re: Jankovich the calm and quiet coach
What does this have to do with this post? I looked at tickets Saturday morning and none in the lower tier were available - so whoever bought them either never showed up or left. I also guarantee, based on the re-seat [deleted] on this board, they are not following Pony Fans.
