Based on conversations my daughter had with him I'm not surprised at all. He never had any intention of graduating.

Is this an exploratory move, with the option of going back to school if he doesn't get the feedback from NBA teams that he wants?

Normal years, he would be able to go through pre-draft workouts, get assessed and then withdraw his name if he didn't like his projected spot in the draft.

Have no idea how it will work this year, or when the draft will actually be.

This doesn't mean he's gone. He just gets evaluated and told where he stands, which surely isn't a draftable prospect yet at this point.

There are one, maybe two, posters above who seem to understand this basic point.

Do you think he is getting the adequate coaching from Jank and staff to prepare him for the next level?

Don’t worry! Everything is OK if Jank returns next season!

Don't know if this means his goal has always been to play professionally and believes he is capable right now or whether he is struggling as a student and just doesn't value a college degree. There is always international ball or the NBA's G league if he is determined to forego graduating. Feron certainly has talent but a lot of work to do to make a good living playing ball. This is a tough time to be thinking about playing professionally...especially in Europe
