It's possible all arenas will remain ghost towns next year.friarwolf wrote:Moody is gonna be a ghost town next year............

Re: Feron Hunt declares for the NBA draft!
which brings up an interesting question. If trashovich's contract is based on calendar dates and there is no season next year then his contract will have expired before we play any more games.
Hence no buyout. Now for those that say he should be given an extra year the question is if there are no games and no season would he still be getting paid? If so then there would be no reason to let him continue.

I think he would still be paid, but if the argument for retaining him is the buyout then you fire him in a year even if no games are played.

If he is paid for the next year and no games then his contract has expired. right? In which case there is no buyout. If not paid- his contract has still expired based on the inception date and no reason to retain him.mustangxc wrote:I think he would still be paid, but if the argument for retaining him is the buyout then you fire him in a year even if no games are played.

I would be shocked if this thing is not over enough to lift restrictions by mid summer at the latest. There will be a basketball season in late 2020

I agree.ponyboy wrote:I would be shocked if this thing is not over enough to lift restrictions by mid summer at the latest. There will be a basketball season in late 2020
Look, I have been beating the drum on how bad this thing is going to be from the very beginning.
That said, it is the near term environment that is a major concern. As we add facilities/equipment and identify treatment drugs, the impact is mitigated to a certain extent. Whether the virus disappears in the summer or not, our ability to handle it when it comes back in the fall will be much improved. I don't expect cancellation of any fall activities.
