Pony move in day

Met parents from NorCal. Said their DD goes to school with others that choose TCU. However, she considered academics and career prospects and chose SMU. Pony Up!

Congrats on the move in. Huge day. I was on campus at both Baylor and SMU yesterday and it's good to see the kids back.

Anything we can learn from Baylor's move in? Is Baylor, or other kids' schools, having a few in person classes? I hear that SMU is substantially virtual and asynchronous at times. Hope Covid goes away soon so this doesn't impact private school admissions in Fall 2021.

My son is going to every class in person, as are most students, I think. Baylor’s done a good job of testing for the virus, though it’s possible a kid can pick up the virus after they were tested. One of my son’s friends attended a camp after being tested and may have caught the thing. Wierd times.

Baylor's administration has always shown a great deal of care and concern for their students so I am sure they will be able to handle this just fine.

I believe dadfreiberger was being sarcastic (the football coverup of the rapes etc.)

My freshman kid's only in person class is a statistics lab. Even science labs aren't in person.

Upper level classes are smaller and more likely to be in person.
