AP pollFive Big Ten teams — Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota — and SMU has more votes, now with 42. SMU is the No. 6 team among those receiving votes on the outside of the Top 25.

Re: AP pollI'm sorry but what a joke. After the Big Ten decided they weren't playing football this year, they suddenly change their minds.....and now five of their teams are in the Top 25?????? Gimme a break. Shouldn't you at least have to play a game before people start deciding how great you are?
Also, they are called weekly rankings for a reason. This week's rankings do not determine bowl eligibility. Last edited by Donnell88 on Sun Sep 20, 2020 6:55 pm, edited 2 times in total.
Re: AP pollNot that anyone thinks we should be ahead of Ohio State or Wisconsin, but I agree with you, Donnell88 ... and if they jump back in to the season, they're not eligible to be ranked until they win a game
"What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Re: AP pollSo SMU May be like 6-0 and ranked behind 0-0 big ten teams in several weeks?
Re: AP poll
Well. Their defensive stats will be much better than ours....
Re: AP pollWe need to show that... we have a reasonable facsimile of a defense first.
Re: AP pollLet's worry about that ranking when we get to 6-0 -- which is a tall order against Memphis, Tulane and Cincinnati
Once a Mustang, ALWAYS a Mustang!
Re: AP pollNot worried about Tulane as much as I am the other two.
