We can and should throw the ball down field. We have the speed and the hands.
On the other side, the 3 man d-line isn’t cutting it. Hasn’t been cutting it all year. Figure something else out.

Official SMU-Tulane Game ThreadHorrible play calling at times, horrible defense at times, BUT a win is a win! Plus, strange things always happen in NOLA. Man, that game made me pace, yell a bit of profanity, and gave me heart burn! I bet I’m not alone.

Will confess to yelling at the TV more than once!
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game ThreadThat play call in regulation when we had 1 TO left and he tries a run up the middle wasting a down and the only TO baffled me!
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game ThreadIt was a great plan to disguise our coverage in the secondary to confuse the other team. We were so good at it that even we didn't know what coverage we were in!
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game ThreadOur D seems totally inept. Is it the scheme, the coaching, or the players. Also, our O looked very out of sync a lot of the time. What is happening to this team. Yes, we won but when we start playing real teams the outcome might be a lot different.
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game ThreadI'm afraid I have to agree. The Cincinnati game could be embarrassing.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game ThreadToo bad we won the game or all of you experts wouldn't know what to complain about
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game Thread
I'm certainly no expert but when you watch an inexperienced frosh QB shred our D even a novice has to wonder what the issue is.

Watch him during pre-game warm-ups next week. Naggar has a huge leg. PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Not to quote Phil Bennett, but “I’ve forgotten more about football than you know.”
Re: Official SMU-Tulane Game Thread
True, but they had a ton to replace from last year, and Williams had yet to resemble the player he was touted to be. Hope he gets there by ... next week would be nice. "Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in .... next to soccer."
