Can someone remind me why we didn't go after a running back in the transfer portal?

If TJ comes back and TaMerik Williams starts to make some noise at RB, I think we will be fine with 4 pretty solid guys who will all have 2 or even 3 years of eligibility left. Sonny needs to continue beefing up the OL. Savion Byrd is still the prized recruit on the OL if they could sell him on staying home.
